EX COLLEGE LIBRARY with college bookplate (stamped withdrawn) on front pastedown and Lords Commissioners presentation label tipped in. Very small library label on rear cover. NO OTHER LIBRARY MARKS. Text looks unread but has a dusty top edge and slight soiling to bottom edge. Edges and corners a bit rubbed. Some other cover wear etc. Spines of volumes 1-3 a bit worn. Ex-library with usual stampings, etc. Exteriors show lots of wear, rubbing, corners bumped, etc. Contents clean and tight for each volume. "Chronicles and Memorials of Great Britain and Ireland during the Middle Ages." (clx + 671pp.) + (xlvii + 749pp.) + (cliv + 689pp.) + (cclxi + 531pp). Volume I: Rear board almost completely detached and split from spine from top to bottom, other side of spine has tear at top. Front free endpaper almost loose. Volume II: Spine badly frayed and torn, residue on front cover of adhesive being removed at some point. Stain at top of gutter on front and rear endpapers and for a few pages in each direction. Text not effected. Volume III: Spine frayed at top, 1" tear running down where spine meets rear board. One front corner chipped. Volume IV: Very light fraying to top of spine. Photos on request.
